Health First Colorado is the state Medicaid program providing free or low-cost health coverage to eligible low-income Coloradans. People leaving incarceration are often eligible for immediate coverage. Apply online through Colorado PEAK, by phone, or at your county human services office. Covers doctor visits, prescriptions, mental health, substance abuse treatment, dental, and vision.
